NCIAI HISTORY
The North Carolina Division of the International Association for Identification held its first meeting in High Point, NC on February 6, 1938, and received its charter from the parent organization of the IAI on March 14, 1938. The North Carolina Division is the third oldest state division. The parent organization has members in all 50 states and in many other countries and possessions.

The N.C.I.A.I. is an academic association whose purpose is to associate persons engaged in the many fields of forensic science and criminal investigation. To assist in the education and standardization of scientific analysis and crime detection and to provide for those engaged in the field to meet, discuss, and stay abreast of changing methodology and technology.
